Cedar Point Preserve

Description:

Consisting of approximately 631 acres, Cedar Point is located at the south end of Black Hammock Island. Visitors have the opportunity to experience both upland hammocks and salt marsh habitats. Cedar Point hosts a wide range of north Florida ecosystems. Birdwatchers come to Cedar Point to see over 200 species of birds, including the beautiful painted bunting. A primitive boat ramp provides access to some of the best fishing spots in the region.

There is no public access at this time. The bridge proposed in the design will give the public access to this site through the Cedar Point National Park Service (NPS) property.

Features:

Currently only trail roads. Future planned amenities include trails, a bridge for access through Cedar Point NPS, and improvements to the boat ramp on the Cedar Point NPS property.

Location:

9023 Cedar Point Road
