Description:

Sal Taylor Creek Preserve covers 1,865 acres of land. Reinvigorate the spirit and enjoy nature's diversity at Sal Taylor Creek Preserve. The Preserve, part of the Black Creek system, flows into the St. John's River, flaunts beautiful forest areas, swamps, and the blackwater stream community. Wildlife and exceptional wildflower observation opportunities await visitors.

Features:

Current amenities include trail roads, trail markers, a parking area, log benches, and trash-free dispensers. The conceptual site plan envisions more trails, a horseshoe pit, an exercise trail, a wildlife observation platform, and picnic areas.

Sal Taylor Creek Preserve is located in southwest Jacksonville, south of Normandy Boulevard.

Public Access is at the entrance area off of Nathan Hale Road. The entrance includes access for equestrian users.
